five hundred fourteen

more ideas...looking at these photos it seems that i am drawn to natural elements and textures. more specifically, styles with a slight sophisticated/rustic feel. i absolutely love the burlap runners on one of the tables below with the square candles. moss is such a soft touch, and the rose bucket is fabulous. hmmm expect to see some of these elements in five hundred and fourteen days.

five hundred fifteen

the website, a project that will hopefully pull together soon. here is a screen shot of the home page as of now. i've been trying to make sure that i include everything that you would need to know about the big day and the events leading up to it.
i got really excited when i found out how to in-bed a google calendar into my website so you can easily get information about everything. including date, time, place, directions...its wonderful.

another exciting thing that has happened are the shoes are in! for the bridal party jordan and i have decided to have everyone wear Toms Shoes. (if you haven't heard about toms shoes, they are the company where if you buy a pair of shoes, they then give a pair of shoes to a child in need www.tomsshoes.com) so we were able to help 14 kids with our purchase!
for the groomsmen we got them the black canvas shoes...for the bridesmaids classic whites....and i got lucky and got some white glitters! i attached a few pictures below, they are so comfortable and they are for a great cause, if you're interested in getting a pair of your own for everday use or if you want to join us on the big day in your own pair check out the link above or click on the banner below. they are such a great company

Stationary. this is an important part for me, being a graphic designer and all. i really have no idea where i want to head style wise. im drawn to a semi classic style but with some modern twists... who knows what that means.
the colors we have chosen are going to be a sage green and a navy blue. (now for those of you who don't understand 'picking colors,' and there are quite a few of you out there, this means that these are the accent colors throughout the whole wedding. yes white is a given, but there needs to be some kind of color scheme to accent all this white. so the sage is going to be the main accent with the navy as the secondary accent.)
here are a few stationary designs that have caught my eye. the third picture is an adorable idea where the couple takes pictures holding different numbers that correspond with the table numbering. then they are either placed at the table or within the escort cards. so adorable. which brings me to another point... i finally chose my photographer! SJMacky Photography take a look at her at her site, she has a very fun energetic style. great candid shots. i'm so very excited.

five hundred twenty

okay so i jumped the gun a little bit here....i saw no reason not to, so, i bought my dress. well technically i bought it a month ago. but tonight i have it in my hands. it is beautiful, exceeding all my expectations.

when i first went into the dress shop about two months ago it had been the fourth place i tried. after about 15 dresses i found three that i absolutely loved, so i put them on my card with the intention to keep looking and make a selection this summer. well shel came in town about two weeks after first trying the dresses on so i took her to show her my favorites. when i slipped into 'my' dress to show her she had to do a little imagining since this dress was a whopping size 12. so clamps aside, she seemed to love it as much as i did. well that did it, two days later i came in for a fitting and ordered my dress. they told me on average it takes 5 months to get in, i was feeling good, i definitely had time.

5 months, ha! not even a month later i got a call saying 'your dress has arrived and you can pick it up anytime.' well i literally walked out the door to get there that instant. so now i have my dress and i have to try and 'forget' about it for five hundred and twenty days. then i finally get to wear it. i just can't wait.

since i don't want to spoil the surprise...and just in case jordan takes a peek at this blog, i'm not going to post a whole picture. but i will post a swatch, a little teaser for you all.

five hundred twenty one

getting ideas by randomly grabbing photos from sites like 'the knot' and simple google image searches i am slowly building up the style I envision for myself. granted some of these photos are a bit over the top in elegance, but ideally i would have that same 'feel' in a much more budgeted manner.

five hundred twenty five

quail ridge lodge : wentzville
this was our first choice, this place dictated the date we would choose. a gorgeous lodge with a full wall of windows, which overlook a lake and gazebo. a perfect place to celebrate our day. the deck is huge and wraps around the west side which over looks a second lake and a few rolling fields. quail ridge park is a place dedicated to returning its land to the natural prairie it once was. it also houses a great frisbee golf course and a large dog park.

six hundred thirty two

this is the number of days I have to wait. I will do it patiently and enjoy every single moment...however I will still be counting down the days. In truth I started at much higher number two thousand six hundred sixty seven, though at the time I didn't know it. knowing now that I have made it through two thousand thirty five days of unofficial waiting, and I can now add one hundred six days of official waiting I am confident that this remaining time will be manageable.

through pictures and thoughts I will walk you through this remaining time.

so the number today is five hundred twenty five.
